CapTop Srl
In the energy storage sector, CapTop manufactures Supercapacitors (SCs) and SC-based systems. SCs complement batteries wherever high power density, an extremely high number of cycles, long operating life and instant response are required. These are the main sectors where SCs are needed, often in hybrid systems alongside batteries: BESS or HESS systems for protecting power grids and for the new AI Data Centres; systems protecting small, medium and large industrial sites and hospitals from micro- and milli-outages (from microseconds up to 5-10 seconds, which cause extensive damage); e-mobility (across rail, road, marine and aviation); logistics; research (energy in particular, e.g. nuclear fusion); amusement parks; and every case where there is a real opportunity to recover kinetic energy during braking or potential energy during descent, such as KERS or cranes. What does our innovation consist of? 1. We are about to build a large-scale industrial SC manufacturing plant, the only one of its kind in Italy; 2. We will produce cells with graphene electrodes based on a patent held by one of our shareholders, using a lactic acid-based electrolyte that is completely safe for people and the environment; 3. We are building our factory in Italy and in Europe now, at the very moment when Asian manufacturers, who hold 80-90% of global production, can no longer even meet all of Asia's domestic demand. SC delivery times in Europe have gone from 2-3 months to 10-12 months.

Astra Labs is currently in the development and validation phase of its products and is seeking strategic investors, industrial partners and collaborations to accelerate its go-to-market. A dual-flywheel architecture combines a data aggregator (for SEO and traffic acquisition) with a RAG bot for retention and monetisation through ancillary services — financing, logistics, paperwork, marketplace. The database currently counts almost 3,900 motorhomes and 199 active Italian dealers, more than 3 times the figures of the main competitor. The European motorhome market is worth €37 billion and still has no dominant digital player.

Sense Square
Sense Square S.r.l. is an innovative SME and academic spin-off specialising in environmental monitoring, Environmental Intelligence and decision support. The company develops IoT sensor networks and cloud platforms to acquire and analyse real-time data on air quality, gases, particulate matter and environmental parameters. The platform integrates a Decision Engine based on rules, statistical models and AI algorithms, capable of converting analytical results into operational recommendations. The system can, for example, suggest actions for traffic management, reducing population exposure, activating treatment plants, maintaining infrastructure or optimising industrial and agricultural processes. Artificial intelligence is at the heart of the solutions developed: in particular, machine learning algorithms improve sensor calibration, detect anomalies, identify possible emission sources and analyse the relationships between pollution, weather, traffic and human activity. The SQUARE platform brings together dashboards, maps, alert systems, predictive models and a Decision Engine capable of turning data into operational recommendations. Sense Square also works on environmental Digital Twins, Edge AI systems and TinyML models that run directly on the devices, reducing response times, energy consumption and dependence on connectivity. Its technologies are applied in the urban, industrial, agricultural, tourism and scientific research sectors, with the aim of providing reliable tools for risk prevention, sustainability, decarbonisation and smart land management.
Handy Signs S.r.l.
Handy Signs is an innovative start-up that uses AI to break down communication barriers between Deaf and hearing people, promoting genuine social inclusion. We have created Andy, a highly expressive, photorealistic 3D Avatar with extremely fluid signing, capable of translating text and audio tracks into Italian Sign Language (LIS), delivering universal, seamless accessibility. We primarily address museums, cultural institutions, historic villages and cities of art, and organisations in the tourism sector that wish to make their services accessible to everyone, without compromise. What makes Handy Signs unique is the integration of advanced language models and proprietary computer vision technologies, which allow our avatars to reproduce not only the signs but also the non-manual components of LIS – facial expressions and mouth movements – essential for correctly conveying meaning and emotion. Two strategic areas: 1. Museums and Cultural Venues: we transform the visitor experience into a fully accessible journey. Thanks to Andy, the museum's works and stories come to life, offering detailed explanations in LIS that accompany Deaf visitors through every room, overcoming linguistic and cognitive barriers. 2. Inclusive Tourism in Historic Villages and Cities of Art: we want the beauty of Italy to be a heritage for all. Our solution enables municipalities and tour operators to equip historic villages and cities of art with accessible virtual video guides that present the local area and its traditions in LIS. This not only gives Deaf tourists independence but also enhances the entire cultural heritage through a 360-degree approach to accessibility and hospitality. Handy Signs offers not just technology, but a new way of experiencing information and art, making accessibility an integral part of the tourism and cultural experience.
